Subjective Review of Moton Street Sport Suspension

In a word - WOW! Just spent the weekend running the full course at VIR. This setup really is very very good. I've done a few things to my car as you can see in my sig but this one mod by far changes/improves the character of the car both on the street and the track. Very comfortable on the street and you can really dial in the car for track use. As best I could tell, I lowered my lap times as I was routinely hitting higher speeds on the straights than my last time out.

In any event, this is THE best $5k I've spent on my car to date!

Thx,
BC

PS - the PFC front BBK was pretty frickin' awesome too. Then again, it should be....

Sounds like a great suspension upgrade. How to you like the Performance friction brakes? Is just having the front working out well for you? Love to see photos of your car.

I noticed you are running the dinan camber plates. Did you also have to change the springs to run these camber plates?

Thanks

The Dinan camber plates basically bolt on to the top of the OEM guide support, so no change in spings should be necessary.

Ahh thanks. I did a little search about the Dinan camber plates and I initially realize that all it really did was offset the top mount and didn't replace the top mount like the ground control camber plates.

Hi - front bbk is great. this is my third car with a front only bbk and i've never had anything that resembled fade on the track under any condition. i got the black calipers and the look of the front only with stock rear is pretty good. doesn't look weird at all.

so i put the $$$ saved from not getting a 4 wheel kit towards the motons which as i said has done more than anything to improve the car. Played around last night with the compression and rebound settings and think i've got them where i want for the street. i was amazed at how good the car felt on the way to work this a.m. so much grip and such a nice ride!

so would you say the moton set up you have is more comfy on the street then the comfort setting on the edc from stock set up??

i had JRZ's in my last M3 and it was great bc it was more comfortable then stock but handled better. if i can find something like that i am all for it. i would get in my friends M3 that had the PSS9 set up and i would be lookin for kidneys after 10 min lol

oh also how do the motons do on the street as far as deflection goes?? with my stock susp going through long sweepers or coming off exit ramps and you hit some road bumps the car deflects pretty bad and you feel it in the steering wheel too jerking it pretty hard. is that common on the stock susp or may there be something wrong with my edc units??

thanks for the info BC

Hi,

At close the full soft, I'd say the ride is similar to normal EDC mode. Beyond that, it is stiffer. As far as deflection goes - it's not bad at the softer settings but when set at 5 or so for comp/reb you will have noticable deflection.

Stalker - congrats on your purchase! You're going to love it!

Thx,
BC
