Front brake pads replaced at 3400 miles
Passport BMW (in MD) just replaced my front brake pads, free of charge, after less than 3400 miles.
The SA asked me "Did you race the car?". I was reluctant to reply but admitted that I had been to the track. He said: "Don't worry, I won't tell, I don't care, I think that's how M cars are supposed to be driven". Hopefully he will still be cool when i go back at 7000 miles . In any case, this is the kind of attitude that makes you feel good about owning a BMW. Last edited by drivendriver; 09-19-2009 at 10:21 AM.. |

That's a cool SA.
I'm surprised they didn't change the rotors too.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

i wished we had dealers that were that understanding... i might need new pads at 15k miles.. wonder if the dealer will give me a hard time.
