Bluetooth Connecting
For those of you with the bluetooth option - how long does it take for your car to establish a bluetooth connection with your phone once you start the car - immediately, a few seconds, a few minutes?

Mine connects within the first couple seconds and is functioning.
However oddly mine takes 5 or 10 minutes to complete the pairing. I know this because the phone display continues to light up. Each time I reach down and turn off the display it will light up again in a few seconds indicating it is transferring data or something. Annoying!!!!! Phone is a Samsung Epix i907 windows mobile. Any thoughts? |

Bluetooth should connect within seconds. Depending on your phone, your contacts may take a little while to transfer. Phonebook transfer will attempt using the PBAP (Phone Book Access Profile) first, then if your phone does not support that, it will use AT Commands (a lot slower).
Currently no generation iPhone or Android-based smart phone uses the PBAP profile. I know the Palm Pre and Pixi do and most Windows Mobile 6.1 or newer based smart phones. I'm not sure about RIM's support for PBAP on the BBOS.
