How does the M3 hold up after 50,000 miles?

Anyone reach this mileage yet?

I am especially interested in DCT and how it fares, but welcome any experiences.

I'd be surprised if anyone has hit 50k yet. Not saying that it's not possible, but I have an early 08, drive quite a bit, and I'm only ~30k

I'm curious about how widespread is the idle valve issue, and what causes it; I don't buy 'debris' from a hose. Subscribed too .

I've read about the idle valve issue & such & meant to post about this, but I have about 13k miles now & haven't had really any issue with this. What I wanted to state in that post is that I run my A/C on ALL the time, from start-up. I do it because of the heat here in FL, but I do know that most modern cars now run the A/C to put a little more load on the engine to get it to the warmed up temperatures quicker and allows the emmissions to minimize the inefficiency of the engine. By putting a load on the engine, idle is a bit higher than without the A/C on & I believe this doesn't allow for the issues that poeple are seeing...BUT I'm not sure if this is the true case or not.

2009 DCT with 32,000 miles, three track days.

I had the idle valve replaced around 26k miles. Zero other issues with the car other than my unfriendly opinion of the DCT (It has had no maintenance issues, but I've had it reprogrammed at least twice that I know of to improve the lag that was present from purchase.). I had service I about a month ago. Mileage dropped about 1 mpg. I think this was due to losing my Dinan tune. Will find out at my next visit.

17k '08 E90 here, 5 track days + 4 laps at the 'ring. No problems at all, except one of the rear-door sunshades started to come apart and they had to do a quick fix (took a few minutes).
