Potentially moving overseas - need advice
As the title says, I have a potential job offer in Australia and am in a quandry. I just purchased a 2009 e92 M3 that I love, but do not think that I can bring it with me. I did not put down very much, so am looking at a huge loss if I sell privately....Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance! |

Turn down the job offer in Australia sounds like the best plan.

Although there is a great job offer, It is not the job forcing the move, it is a chance to start my life over...many personal problems and a way to start a clean slate....

Well then starting a clean slate sounds good. Sell the car and take a huge loss of money for a truly clean start.

spend the money that you'd lose into importing the car to Australia all i can say is that if you turn this offer down and dont go to Australia, you'll regret it...
if you go and it doesnt work out, you'll have no regret... A car is only a car, money is only money... if you have a job there already i'm sure you'll make up for the loss of money quickly... Good luck in Australia! |

It's just a car... go do what you want. But maybe try it out for a little first before you sell the car, because if you decide to come back, you won't have an M3!

Clean start is good thing when you have a lot of things going on.
I'll support you 110%. So.. ship your M3 to me and I'll take care of it till you come back. Honestly, if you want clean start, sell your M3 and don't look back. As you said, it's clean start. No need to carry too many things from the past. I did same thing 11 years ago. I don't regret.

Don't bring your problems to australia! Nah just kidding mate. Sell your car and come on over.
Just make sure your job is sydney or north so you get the great weather. Also expect to pay 3 times as much for an m3! Aus is really a great place to live and with the aussie dollar the way it is a good chance for you To make some decent coin. |

When I had the chance to work abroad I had to take a big loss on my car and by the time I had cleared all my debts I was left with about $50 in my pocket...never looked back for a second and would do exactly the same thing again. A car you can buy again, life changing experiences rarely present themselves.
