M6 Drivers
I feel M5 guys tend to throw the wave, acknowledge M's in general - respectful...etc.
M6 drivers - not-so-much. They tend to be a little douchey. Anyone agree? |

havent met too many but of those I met one was pretty much so yeah, kinda agree...but I guess you could say the same about any other, theres always some exceptions the "doucheyest" I've seen so far was a ferrari 599 driver. I've met only 1 but he desperately wanted to race me off the stop light and had to rev his engine like 50 times...

TBH I hardly ever see M6's on the road. Lots of M5's. The only M6's I see are usually convertibles being driven by older women.

I hate threads like this. Just b/c you drive the same make of or model car of someone does not mean they need to wave at you and be all happy to see you? Some people have lives. Some people regard their car as just that....a car. Don't get all butt hurt and thinking someone is a douche b/c they didn't wave at you. That being said, it is always nice when fellow enthusiasts do give the wave. But you're not a douche if you don't.
In terms of M6s...I had an M6 driver say to me once, "Too bad you couldn't have afforded a few thousand more to get a real M car. Instead of a 3 series with an M badge." Couldn't believe my ears....now that IS a douche. I told him I'd go to the track and drive circles around him any day in my "3-series."

Yeah I hear ya - I'm not looking for an M lovefest here ... I just think M6 drivers tend to be total D-bags in general - reciprocating M-love aside ... your post further evidenced this ... |

True but I walked away thinking that specific M6 owner was D-bag...not all M6 owners.
LOL!! If a $70K car can be considered "low end". IMO the M3 is the pinnacle of the M cars. It is the best overall package. Can hand the other M cars their asses on the track and is what BMW Mtrsprt choose to base their pro racing cars on. Nuff said..... M3 FTMFW!

It is kind of funny that the "low end" M car is also the fastest one around a race track.

TBH for what it is the M6 sucks. It's the closest thing to an AMG competitor and the SL63 blows its doors off. Not to mention the CLK63 Black.
The M5 is awesome because it's a 4 door sedan that kicks ass. The M6 is.. well... it falls short next to its competition in every category. It's also the ugliest car in BMW's lineup by far.

SO true! I hate the way it looks...esp the rear. It's a poser car IMO.

If it was me, I'd always take look at the M6 or M5, and then blow past them with my loud exhaust.
Now if I see an M3, I'll most definitely give a wave, and then blow past them. |

It's because us M5 guys are more secure than our M6 counterparts, JK. We don't care that our car cannot be distinguished from the other 5 series, as a matter of fact, most of us like that aspect of the car. In general, the M6 driver is probably a little more image conscious...

Who gives a rats ass??? I purchased my M3 because that was the car that I liked and wanted. If I get to talk with other M Drivers then so be it, and if I don't or they are stuck up or D_ _k Heads then who cares, they can go screw themselves. I'm still going to enjoy driving my M3 on the autobahn in Europe!!! Lets talk about the M3 Cars on this forum not the douche bags, because it don't matter what kind of car you drive there will always be the douche bag out there that thinks he/she is better than you. Lets stick to our M3 forum for what it was set up for.
