Water on Rear View Mirror
Hello all.
This afternoon I went by the car wash and when I got in to leave I noticed a few drops of water on the shift boot. I wiped them away and didn't think anything of it. A few minutes later, they were back. I looked to see if there was a leak anywhere and I noticed that water seemed to be collecting on the plastic part to which the rear view mirror is attached. I immediately got out and checked the sunroof, which was closed. I have a sinking feeling that it could be the weather stripping around the windshield. I've been through this before with a '99 Jeep Cherokee and it was an costly nightmare to fix. Anyone else know what could be causing this and should I take it into the dealership? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Is your rear view mirror auto dimming? If so, it could be that your rear view mirror seal has faulted and the liquid that "dims" your mirror could be leaking out. Same thing happened on my 2000 Acura TL. Look closely at your mirror.

Interesting, hadn't thought of that. I'll check and see.
