Any TSB about Intermittant SAT "Acquiring" Msg?

Is there a TSB about the SAT radio not "booting" & playing at vehicle startup? It will display "Acquiring"... forever unless I shut off the car, let it go to sleep then restart. Its almost as if the car doesnt "load" the SDARS unit at some startups.

It is NOT a blocked signal problem at all, as I had this identical problem on 2 different MB E Class cars. (I have had factory installed Sirius in all my cars since the service was available.) MB had a TSB on it which directed the SDARS receiver be replaced. (Later on they also came up with a software update too) It took 3 receiver replacements on the E Class to get one that worked right 99% of the time.

If there is a TSB, could someone direct me to a TSB/campaign number? Any BMW Techs following this Forum?

Wonder if a problem with Sirius?

I have a 3 week old 2010 135i and yesterday the had the same problem. If i wait long enough I may eventually get the station, but generally just "acquiring" if I change the station at all. If still happening next week when my plates get in will go get it checked by dealer...

Absolutely, positively NOT a Sirius TRANSMITTER problem. Its an in car receiver/software problem. Been there before with MB.

You have to shut the car off, wait for the "Start Engine" button light to go out, then restart the car. Then the SAT radio will play perfectly.
