Anyone want to describe Monte Carlo blue to me?

Thinking about this color, but never saw it in the flesh. Have seen some pics, not many, but they all vary. Is it one of those chameleon-like colors like LSB or is it just that the cameras suck? If anyone can compare it to Interlagos or something popular, that would be appreciated.

I have recently re-calibrated my computer screen with deltaE<0.5 (for those that know what that is) so if anyone has a nice DSLR pic faithfully representing the color, I think I would be properly suited to view it.

It's kinda like the noon sky over Scottsdale AZ on a clear day in October. That blue.

Have you ever seen Estoril blue on an E36? It's similar.

It's a little darker than Estoril blue right? That was more baby-blue. Are there any hints of purple in the color?

Stick with your black. It's 100 times nicer IMO.

bored of black man! was thinking white but it's so overplayed - it's either melbourne with black accents all over or monte carlo with black accents all over

Agreed that black / silver are by far the most common colours. Monte carlo blue is awesome !

Keep in mind, Monte Carlo is an individual-only color. You may wish to check the full individual palette if you are going to spend the money. I'm sure you could find paint chips at your dealership (Canada get's the full Individual program, right?).

I thought LSB was your color since you created that petition to re-introduce LSB. I haven't seen MCB in person, but it looks like a nice color. Hopefully, you can see one in person up there in Canada.

Definitely darker than Estroil Blue, its a cross between Laguna Seca + Estroil + Lemans Blue. I do not notice purple hues on the car (from what I've seen, only driven it a couple of times =) ). If you are considering this color, I would say go for it. All my past cars were blue and I think this one is the nicest blue out of all of them.

Don't let the pics on the forums fool you, you have to see it in person to really appreciate the color. It is fantastic =)

HAHA amazing that you still remember that! I would love for it to be introduced actually - but oh well! But why no extra love for your car? I'm dying to see some newer pics and see if you've modded it!

In related news, I actually saw Dakar Yellow as well as Monte Carlo Blue in person today at a dealer near my house. They were both the "special editions" with that stripe on the seats and the blacked out tailpipes/mirror and holy shit they are both HOT HOT HOT!!! Problem is though, if we decide to go with an M3, they can not be ordered immediately with the new 2011 order - we would have to wait until our dealer gets an allocation for an Individual M3, which would come later...I made sure I asked this question! So I guess if we do a M3 we'll be going with MR most probably. It's too bad though, because their Monte Carlo Blue demo model was not sold and ticked all the right friggen boxes - but it had a SUNROOF!!!! Deal breaker!

I was looking at the car, with the sunroof. And I also declined.

They should have another one from Vancouver, but without EDC (if thats important to you).

Can M3 Editions still be ordered fo 2011?? I thought production was done for Edition models?
