Crossed paths with another E90 M3!

Remembering the thread about what you do when you see E9x M3's I happened to come across another M3, an E90 as well! We had a nice spirited sprint on a local on-ramp, and we both gave each other a when we separated. Also there was a nice E92 335i a couple cars back, I could see the driver twisting his neck to watch us drive.

It's great running into other M drivers who are as enthusiastic about their M as I am. Not like the Countess from Housewives of New York, who we saw driving her E90.

I only wish I could have that experience more often. I'm driving down to DC (from NJ, ~3hrs) and I hope to have a spirited run with another M, even if only for a few exits!

PS - I'm the OP of the "what do you do when.." thread. Glad to hear your story!

Funny that you say that... I just had the totally opposite experience. I pulled up next to a SG E92 M3, looked over and gave a little honk... nothing... I then gave a nice rev to about 4k... NOTHING... Totally oblivious...Some people just are not as excited about their ///M as most of us...

Maybe, he was a typical coupe owner. 4 doors automatically does not qualify for a sports car even if it means identical performance so he must be ignoring you.

Or maybe he just didn't want to play speed racer at the moment. I love my car, but most of the time just have too many other things going on to have a "moment" with some random person who happens to drive my same car. Now, at the track or autocross . . .

Boy, I lucked out last November when I went to order my car. My dealer had one exactly as I would have ordered on an inbound ship. I only had to track it from the end of the panama canal to port hueneme. From the port, to vpc to me taking delivery took 7 days. And that included the car getting offloaded from the ship on the day after Thansgiving.

I don't know how I could wait as long as you guys. Especially if you are doing ED, and then have to wait again for the car to ship across the seas.
