Correct Brake Bleeding Sequence?

I did a few searches and people seem to suggest that the following is the correct sequence in which to bleed brakes:

1. Passenger's rear;
2. Driver's rear;
3. Passenger's front; and
4. Driver's front.

Can anybody confirm whether or not this is correct?

Thanks in advance.

That is what I have always heard. Farthest away from the master cylinder first and then work your way to the closest caliper and do that one last.

It happens to be correct for the M3, but not always. You want to start with the longest line from the ABS/DSC MODULE. Some cars have it on the passenger side, so the correct sequence there would be RL, RR, FL, and FR. On the M3 is right by the brake booster, so your sequence is correct. And if you do the bleeding regularly, it doesn't really matter. Take care.
