Front Tow Hook Cover

Damn thing fell off sometime in the past two days. I searched and saw that this isn't that uncommon but didn't see that anyone discovered an inexpensive and convenient manner of getting a new one. I know I can go to the dealer but that's probably the most expensive option.

Suggestions?

just go to tischer, parts guy named steve hooked me up for the paint. The actual cover isnt that expensive. You can also PM highflyr on e90post to see what he can do for you.

If it just fell off and doesn't have any sort of an impact or modification then you should be able to get it warranted, I did a couple of them on M3s under warranty.

You could always replace it with a tow hook?

If you have been to an automatic car wash lately call them and ask if they found in their trap. Mine came off twice in an auto car wash on my last car and they found it both times. After that I put a dab of silicone on it before I put it back on so it wouldn't fall off, but could still be easily removed if needed.

Mine fell off of my 335i last year and instead of paying like $100 to have it sprayed, I painted it myself with touch up paint and it looks great. The tow hook cover comes primed, so all I did was heat it up with a blow dryer until it got really warm then brushed on the touch up. I covered it and let it sit overnight. The next day, I warmed it up again and brushed on the clear coat. Because the cover was warm, the paint went on really smoothly with minimal brush marks. The clear filled whatever brush marks there were. It looks sprayed.

Replaced it for $11 pus $85 for painting it
When my front one fell off
I didn't replace it
I like to think of it as my CSL extra air intake now

Yes, it is. Need to drop off the wife's X3 in the morning for some repairs so I'm gonna ask for the cover to be replaced and see what I get. My SA is a pretty cool guy.
