The plus to cf on JzB is it blends in so it doesn't look gawdy. Last edited by quality_sound; 07-07-2010 at 02:01 AM.. |

I saw a used Jerez black M3 at a Mercedes dealership on an overcast/rainy day... the salesman looked at it and told me it was dark blue. It looked like a dark blue color to me. At night, I would guess it looks black.

It looks blue under artificial light and in direct sunlight. On overcast days or in low light in looks black. In the dark it tends to look more blue to me because the only light around is artificial.

jerez black is a super dark midnight blue
you only notice the blue/purple under bright light as mentioned above -- otherwise looks black looks great all shined up -- my car is at the detailers today getting some love as for the CF pieces -- that is personal choice. i'm putting on my Akrym CF front lip tomorrow

IMO Jerez Black is a sick looking color. It is absolutely my favorite. It does look black in indirect light but in bright sunlight or direct indoor lighting it's almost a royal blue color. That said, I ordered my E93 in white because Jerez does require similiar care to black and I just don't have the time or inclination to care for it. The CF roof looks great on it but due to the dark color, I don't think the CF accessories are necessary. They will look great but won't pop like they would against a lighter color.

Thanks for all the input guys. When I was at the dealership I was starting to doubt my color choice. Can't wait to pick it up in August!

I love Jerez but it is a PIA to keep looking good. It will change color depending on the light. In general, I would say the more light the more blue it looks. Under artificial light the blue pops more.
I think the cf pieces may get a bit lost on such a dark color. I have a sedan but would have gotten the cf roof if it was an option. What color interior did you order?

I think Jerez looks amazing. Although, If i had to do it again, I would go individual and probably go Ruby Black.
I am not sure about the FR interior though, It is a little orange IMHO. |

There is a Jerez Black E92 M3 on Fox Red in my neighbourhood and it looks incredible. If I had to buy a new M3 I think I would switch from MR on black to JB on Red. It would still be an E90 however.

I think most people order the AW because it is the easiest to keep clean/maintain. Based on your stable of vehicles, I am guessing that having someone do a detail on your car once a week, won't be a huge stretch for you. I don't DD my e93, but If I did, I know I would probably hand wash it more than once a week. FR interior is really nice, but I like a darker red for the interior. I went with black interior, because its "safe". |

JB looks deep dark blue at day light and black at night. The Carbon Fiber Roof or any CF accessories on JB will blended to the color so they would not show the contrast pattern.
Good Luck... It just a matter of personal flavor. |

If you back out soon, let me know! Depending on the options, I may jump all over this. Can't find a Jerez that's in production. Since I hate waiting, I don't really want to build the car and wait 6-8 weeks.
