Sprays washer fluid to the headlights at the same time when you pull the level to clean the windshield

On the 5 series the headlight washer only sprays something like every third time the windshield washer is used. Perhaps its the same on your car...

I've been doing it more than 10 times. It sprays the first time I do it. After that nothing else... Plus it only sprays on the driver side not the passenger.

I can't wait till they come out with tail light washers, its a must have option. Maybe they can come up with a button we can press to wash the car: -).

Well that doesn't sound right... Time to have it checked out, assuming it is a major issue for you and is under warranty.

I'll get it checked tomorrow. Maybe one of the lines are clogged? But I still don't understand how it works. Should it work everytime you do it for the windshield?

I thought it only works at night when your lights are on.

Don't have a car with the headlamp washers but from the manual...

"When the vehicle lighting system is switched on, the headlamps are cleaned at regular and appropriate intervals."

Not sure what "regular and appropriate intervals" are but when you are trying, do you have the headlights on?

Either way, the drivers side only doesn't sound right...

Uh yeah first squirt worked for me but my driver side only squirt. But I tried it multiple times... 10 times to be exact and still nothing.

xxxryno is right, headlights need to be on for it to work. Make sure to switch them off before you spray the windshield if you don't want it all over the rest of your car.
