Does leaving iPod in Car Drain the Battery?

Does it drain the car battery??

I'm a tech idiot so I'm embarrassed to even ask this question but I just want to confirm.

Thanks.

Not any more than anything else in your car... it would take weeks, and your battery would likely be dead due to other things. Considering ~70Ah for the car battery, and an ipod battery is about 1500mAh(iPhone) at the most, you could charge your ipod fully on about 2% of the car battery. Looking at it, most of the ipod batteries are actually in the 800mAh range.

No it shouldn't IIRC. It pauses and goes into sleep mode when the car shuts off.

Correct. If you have your iPod in the center console and open the console immediately after getting in the car (before you start the car), the iPod screen will be lit up. This is because it has been "awakened" by your unlocking and opening of the door.

Even if it didn't work this way, the iPod/Phone/whatever goes into trickle mode once fully charged and would take a LONG time to discharge your car's battery at the trickle rate...
