so I get my car back after 2 months...
so after the break in bmw fixed/replaced:
pass window replaced upper inner door panel center console latch rear pass side leather (small part your butt sits on) steering wheel (??? why, my steering wheel was perfect!??) they did a software update as well. so I go pick it up take it for a test ride, notice grease all over the door handles ( so unprofessional) anyway I take it to hear for any glass rattle left in door, and I notice my V1 does not turn on... I take it back they give me a fuse from a new m3 on the floor it works fine I drive off and again the v1 dies! what gives? this NEVER happened before in my 335 or m3 BEFORE the software update... what do you guys think? oh and the grand total - $6700 !!!! WOW - who told them to give me a NEW steering wheel? I found that very bizarre.... anyway you think the software update is causing my lighter fuse to blow like this?? never even happened before... I dont want to take it back there again, going to store the car till spring. |

I heard there was a software update for cars produced August 2010 and earlier. Either my car got it at the factory or at the VPC when it arrived in the states in late Sept...

Give us the name of the dealership so we can avoid it like the plague. Hope things get sorted out so you can go drifting in your dct.

sounds shady beck. that work could have been completed in a week or two. the dealership is jerking you around. i don't know anything about the electronic problems you are having, but it sounds like there is a short somewhere. i assume the v1 is hardwired...
