M3 making a weird whining noise. Believe it's the Power Steering

My M3 started making a whining noise between 1-2.5k RPM yesterday. Once the engine is hot the noise because more apparent. The sound fluctuates with the RPM (louder when higher RPM).

I feel it has to do with the power steering because it is similar to a noise ive heard on older cars when they are parking (low RPM) and the wheel turned hard over. I can old feel a small vibration in the wheel when I am reving the car up and down to hear the noise.

Any suggestions on where to look? Obviously I will be taking the car to the dealer.

Id be checking the oil level. Make sure its topped up.
