Question Excessive sweat on your novillo leather....

will sweat damage your leather seats over time? does it absorb into the leather and stay in there and cause cracks and tears later? you cant really wipe it off because once you get up, it will be dry by then or already gone in through the porous surface....

You need to wipe down the leather with a damp towel to remove the salt and dirt. It doesn't absorb into the leather... it accumulates and causes wear. Just take a fresh shirt to the gym with you and put it on before you get in the car. Problem solved. Now you just have to deal with the blood, urine, and semen. Those are a little trickier to avoid!

Yes, see I used to do this too but then the problem with towels is it causes a million fibers to go everywhere in all the little cracks and the dash gets a ton of dust after a week. Any other ideas? Like a piece of plastic or something ?

try using microfiber towels, they're pretty much lint free

If you are going to the gym like most regulars, you are going 3 or 4 times a week at least, well worth it to take a change of clothes with you and just take a shower at the gym. Getting in your car 3 or 4 times a week drenched in sweat is not gonna be solved by sitting on a towel or changing your shirt. A shower is inevitable after the gym anyways (hopefully.....), so might as well knock out two birds in one stone.

I take my beater to the gym, i'd never take the m3 to the gym anyways in risk of getting it keyed, dinged or I guess ''excessive sweat''!!

if i drove my beater to the gym, then the M would never get driven at all since i dont have a daily commute to work. plus the time of day i go to the gym is like midday, its dead and most of the people there are housewives and retirees...so risk of getting keyed is pretty low...as compared to going during prime time evening

Thats cool, yeah i usually end up going at peak hours and theres just a bunch of people there, which usually means parking next to someone is a factor and my m3 doesn't have tinted windows yet either which is another factor why I don't drive it there. But since you drive the M to the gym and don't want any sweat to soak in the seats, I'd suggest you sit on a sheet of plastic, i.e plastic bag from a grocery store, might sound dumb but I think thats the only thing that would protect your seat from hot moist sweat. Just my two cents!
