New guy from NorCal

Hello everyone my name is Robert and I'm from norcal. I'm finally living my dream of owning/driving an M3 and I have to say it feels great! The car is in a league of its own. I come from an evo background so I know a little something about fast cars and owning an M3 has always been my goal. I joined this forum to learn about the M3, make new friends and to browse the classifieds. On to the pics:

I wish I could say the same about the evo forum. Few years after the evo viii and ix hype died down the forum became inundated with ricer kids who were able to pick up an evo for the price of a new honda civic si. I know I shouldn't be stereo-typing but when a car is modded to the point its no longer recognizable as being that type of car I think it's going overboard. Being twice as old as some of those kids just makes it awkward trying to relate to anything. I still own the evo and I admire its abilities to compete with cars twice as much especially with its 2.0 4cyl engine. To be honest, I think my evo which is slightly modded may be equal to my M3 in terms of speed & performance.

Nothing at the moment. The car is great as-is in my opinion but who knows, this may change after browsing the picture threads.

Robert -- congratulations from another NorCal / Bay Area friend. You should share more about what options/color/transmission, etc you went for on your car. There's also a meet-up every Saturday in the south bay at:

Cars & Coffee
Place: Santana Row, parking lot near Pasta Pomodoro
Address: 378 Santana Row, San Jose, CA 95128
Time: 10am to 12pm

I haven't been yet, but planning to check it out for myself one of these Saturdays. It's under the California forum:

Congrats again and happy holidays!
