Alarm activated ?

Hey so I have a 2009 135i
And I have it fully loaded so I thought I had the alarm system

I have the red bulb on the bottom of my rear view mirror but it does not flash or anything ?

Is it not activated or what is the problem ?

The Alarm is a dealer installed option. It would have been about $400 plus installation, look for that on your invoice. If the siren (not horn) situated under the driver side rear whel doesn't beep, along with lights flashing when you lock the car, it either doesn't have an alarm or if it doers, it needs to be activated by the dealer. The clown nose should blink after it has been turned on.
