Hellrot M3 at Sebring
After waiting since October (the last time I had the car really booking on the Autobahn during Euro Delivery), I had a chance to open up my individual E92 M3 - named Stella. At the end of the day, I had the line down pretty well and my instructor recommended my graduation to "Provisional Solo" for my next track day at Sebring. It was fun passing so many Porsches and Audis Obviouosly, the hp of my car makes up for a multitude of mistakes too (by no means have I yet reached the status of a good driver).
I had a blast... one of the interesting things about this track is that it is so flat and everything is Blue and White. It is very difficult to use terrain to figure out where you are on the track... In fact, even the turn-in points are described as "cracks in the road", faded stripes of paint, transitions from asphalt to concrete, and even marks on the barriers... I can't believe drivers remember their location on the the track during a 12 hour Enduro... So many blind corners too... In the end, I got about 2.5 hours of seat time, and burned about 3 tanks of gas Thanks to Chin Motor-sports. The car is definitely heavy, but on a track like this, I think the balance of the car makes it work, very much a rhythm track where it is more of a dance and keeping smooth tight arcs and maintaining momentum are the key. Anyway, I hope you enjoy some of the photos... there is some serious money down here being so close to Miami. There were Ferrari racing teams, Porsche racing clubs, with HUGE dedicated mechanic teams and trailers... Many more photos at the Flickr site if you like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/3747878...7625762641289/ My Wife's Favoritie Car: My Favorite Porsche:

I'm sure there's a story about why someone from Spokane is in FL running at Sebring... Are you helping someone out at the 24 hr race next weekend? My buddy did that for Flying Lizard a few years ago and had a blast!
Looks like an awesome track day and the bright FL sunshine clearly makes Hellrot stand out from M. Red!

Beautiful car!
Shame on BMW - that should have been the standard red, IMO.

Why oh why didn't BMW make Hellrot and Monte Carlo Blue standard color choices on the E9X M3?

Sweet color!! As for remembering the track, you can always practice on Forza Motorsports 3 for the XBOX 360
I wish they have track sims for the North/Mid East tracks I go to.

Anybody else experience a difference between the game and the actual course?

What other car manufacturer doesn't offer one of their most popular cars in a proper bright red non-metallic?

I like Imola better than Melbourne but prefer something closer to Hellrot and Guards Red or Electric Red. I got AW this time around but really wanted a bright red.
