In addition to my M3, I have a Benz GL Bluetec. For those who do not know, Bluetec is the clean diesel. Anyway, I took the truck to the dealer because a CEL came on. No problem, there was an service bulletin for a software update, no big deal. I get a phone call this morning that I need to add Adblue, the additive that makes the diesel clean, and that the charge would be $200. I changed my own oil, filter, fuel filter and added Adblue 2 months ago, which should last 10,000 miles. I told the SA that unless there was a leak then that was not possible, do not do anything and I would take care of it. He became short tempered with me. When I picked up the car there was no message on the computer that said Adblue was needed, basically this guy was trying to sucker me into agreeing on a $200 charge that was not needed. I hate shit like this and I will probably get an X5 diesel when I turn this car in. BMW dealers may be a PITA sometimes but at least all the service is included. Sorry for the rant just had to tell someone.
