What comes after an M3 :-)
Hi everyone,
Random thought of today - Number 12 ! Life would be horrid after my M3 MCB, however if I were to wake up one day and peer through the blinds what car would I see on the driveway. It would still have a BMW badge. It would still be MCB. It would still be Fully loaded. Help ? I really and honestly don't know ! So far, as I grew up and saved ! I went from (in chronological order) 120d MSport, X3 3.0 M Sport, 530d M Sport, X5 3.0d M Sport........ I can't get better than this so what would I do and where would I go ? Comments and Guidance (derogatory or otherwise) welcome......apart from "keep it" as I am having a 'nightmare' and want to wake up with the MCB there..... What have any of you gone "to" (BMW) rather than "from" Thanks Chaps Brams |

Well once you go ///M you are ruined for life. My DD and 1st BMW that I bought is an E39 M5, and I will probably add an E92 M3 at the end of this year. Similar power/weight/size, but updated technology. New 5 is just too big for me, so I don't see myself going to that. Granted for my wife and I another M would be fitting since we have an E30 M3, E36 M3, E39 M5 and E86 M Coupe ///M for life.

Another M3 is the only answer IMHO
That would be a step back.

This is probably correct... I bought my M3 because I always wanted one, it's a sports car...but "isn't", and I could afford it.
I drive a truck as my DD, I love my truck... My gf often gets on me for not taking the M out (when she's around) and I often say "I dunno why I bought that, I'm mellow, it's not me." Then I take the M3 out and have a silly stupid grin on my face the whole time. I had the day off the other day and just drove around. The M3 may look like a sleeper, but the car has soul. It's like the woman that looks like a librarian, but maybe has an extra ear-ring and her heels are a little higher than you'd expect (gills, power dome, etc)... Then you warm it up, get inside, and whoa! Unless you bought a DCT and then you have no soul |
