Pagid rs19 no longer available

Just ordered pads for this years track season and come to find out from TM, pagid is not making rs-19s for the rear of our E9x M3's anymore. TM was told that the rs7 pad is the replacement for the RS19 and that it is a black backplate with RS19 compound..... Anyone know anything about this?

To get the straight goods, email Brake Technology of America in Cape Coral Florida and ask them about this. They're the North American distributor for Pagid and I can say from personal experience over the last five years that they're refreshingly helpful.

So I talked to turner on two separate occasions and they seem to be advocating the use of the RS7 for the rears, even though they have the RS19 in stock now (both front and rear). They said that they have used this on the track and it worked well.

Has anyone used this setup? It would be a much more cost effective way to have the Pagid pads.

I was under the impression that the RS29's were the successor to the RS19's. I tried the RS29's out at the track two weeks ago and they were fantastic. pretty good cold bite for a pad of this type and zero fade. they also didn't wear as much as I expected them to, but part of that might be that the track I was at (Putnam) only had two hard braking zones.

I'll second that. Same track, same days, same car, same pads. The man don't lie

Guys you might wanna try RS14 too if you like RS29. They are less noise than RS29 on streets but very comparable result on track

Noise has been real minimal. My wife only just said something after 2 weeks of being on the car. She didn't even notice. Also it's a very short commute <1 mi. so for her so not so bad on cold bite if she hasn't mentioned anything. She's my DD guinea pig. I try and make it trak worthy and she tells me if it's too unfriendly for DD. I think we've got one helluva team to create the perfect M. Will take a look at the 14's. I'm always open.

I ordered the rs19 front and rs7 rears from turner based on their recommendation. I'll post the results but won't be at the track until June.

How'd this set-up work for you at the track? I'm thinking of either RS-19 all around or this recommended combination per TMS.

Thanks!

I don't have much track experience but the RS19/RS7 combo worked great for me. The only other time I was on the track was with the stock pads so it was a night and day difference.

Great. I was very pleased with the performance, no fade and good solid feel. I'll be back out on them next weekend as well and will report any issues. Seems worth it to save the money on the rears.

RS-19 Front and RS-7 Rear

Thanks! Let me know how the track day goes. Which circuit? I'll be sure to post my experiences/results after I install the Pagids for my upcoming day in late Oct.

Best,

I'm going to a local Minnesota track (BIR). It's a pretty fast track though, and reasonably hard on brakes. Here is a link to a video from my last time out (with Pagids). You can hear them squeal in the video. I'm an intermediate/novice driver and this was the first event with track pads.
