To all those who worry that the E93 isn't optimum M3

Yes, it may be heavier. May not have quite the punch of the Coupe or Sedan.
But I will say this: when you put the top down on a great day like it was here in New England and get both the thrill of the drive and joy of the vert at the same time, you can't beat it.

Just picked up my E93 (space gray) DCT last week. Have already put 1300 miles on it driving my kid to college visits during spring break. The car rocks. Never had so much fun driving. (Had a 335i convertible prior. Great car, but no comparison.)

So, in summary: if you love convertibles, and you love to drive, stop reading the posts, and get out and enjoy the wind in your hair!

Just picked up my SG e93 vert yesterday and it was a beautiful day in NYC yesterday. Had a blast! So glad I went with the vert over the coupe.

Had my vert for 8 months now, 8000 miles. I would say at least 85% of my driving with the top down. Living is Scottsdale has it's advantages.

Congrats. Glad to hear that you're enjoying your toy.

Who gives a damn if E93 is heavy/not-optimum. It's a helluva toy.

It might not be the optimal track car, but I can't imagine a much better car for simply enjoying life.

I've driven nearly 10,000 miles in the 5 months since I got it (1,300 of that was last weekend driving to MFest and back ), enjoyed nearly every minute of it, and it's not even summer yet.

E93 is not am M3. Especially if it's DCT and of course it's not ZCP. E93 owners please stop posting on this forum. There is another forum for you (Hyundai station wagon).
Just kidding. The first ever E9x I saw in person was a vert with the top down. I think I wet my pants

Your whole purpose of buying a car is to beat a 335? Unless your grandma is driving the M, I think it will do that.

Compared to what?

The E93 is heavier but not slower than a 335 coupe. The E92 is also heavier than the 335is, but certainly not slower.

I still do not get the, "I can't own this car because there is another car model that can beat it by a few tenths of a second".
