2) let's see how long it takes them to catch up to me..and then reality sits in...

Don't touch the damn pedal and roll because the exhaust is too loud. Or try to roll in 6th gear to keep the revs low at 20mph haha

I take a bolder approach - roll with them. Show them you have nothing to hide. Most cops respect M3s anyway and like to see them. They don't want to see you hiding around in their rear view mirror!

The other day, two lane road (in each direction), there was a cop at the left pole position, and 5 cars behind him. The right pole position was open. i took it, with my illegal tints and no front tag. He was definitely looking at me hard, but I didn't speed or anything off the line, just continued on my way, and he didn't do jack...

When I had my Type R, every time I saw a police officer my stomach would get queasy. Nothing like a lowered honda with a large spoiler to get a police officer's attention. I assume it will be less the the M, perhaps I'm wrong.

A cop took my favorite on ramp (where I red line 2nd everyday) IN FRONT of me yesterday and I was almost pushing him from behind. But once we merged I stayed behind him at same speed which was 10above.

When you see a cop, be confident. Make eye contact, don't go below speed limit, and if he pulls up right next to you, take off your shades and give him a nod. Works wonders.

same thing in Chicago. unless you're driving recklessly, you'll never get pulled over by Chicago PD. they just have better things to worry about, and traffic duty is considered to be the lowest form of police work.

LOLL I never make eye contact with cops. IMO it makes it look like you have something to hide and you're checking to see if he's looking at you.

Best thing to do is act casual like he's not even there.

(I see at least 8 cops in my 10 minute commute to school)

The ones you need the worry about are the motorcycle cops. Their only duty is to give out citations all day lol.

Me too. Cops here sit on ~ 80 mph on interstate - why not ride along, from a decent distance behind? (no eye contact for me!)
