That button changes what setting you're in with M-DCT i.e. S1-S5 or D1-D5.

What's up with the one comment about tweaks in the steering? Have they made small changes to the steering since the car was first released in 2008? Or was that comment way off based.....?

Cheers,

I don't think it was the regular m3 that got tested against the Audi but clarkson did say he thinks the regular m3 is better than the zcp hahaha

This is correct. For DCT cars, turn off DSC for even better reception.

That switch is the driver involvement switch. Turn it up for less involvement.

It is impossible to know whether this is true (since it would be via software only), but given no information on this from BMW, I strongly doubt it is the case. The wider track and lower suspension, however, could very well make the the steering feel different than a non-ZCP car. And they may even make it "better". But only as a side effect, not because there are different parts used or a different Servotronic steering map employed.

We're going to get DCT vs. 6MT and ZCP vs. non-ZCP all wrapped up into one thread.

E90 vs. E92 vs. E93 anyone?

Look guys, the fact is, the E93 is the only *REAL* M3. I mean, lower roofline, looks more aggressive AND the V6 sound with the top down!

The thing is, my V6 sounds like a V8, and I am not happy with BMW about that. I wrote them a stern letter expressing my displeasure, and all they did was send me a recording of an Accord V6 and told me to play it on the radio loudly. Not impressed, BMW. This is how you treat your exclusive M customers?
