Those 20-30 degree incline driveways
When pulling into parking lots or supermarket plazas from the street and I go up those driveways or inclines, about 2 out of 10 times, depending on how steep it is, going very slow, I feel a thump in the rear of the car, or like a slight jerk. It feels like the rear is slipping or losing traction. I'm not sure what it is. Is it the differential?
Anyone ever experience this? Sorry if this is vague but it's hard to explain in writing. |

No its not this as usually already in 1st gear as i go up the driveway...i go really slow..when i go fast, i dont hear it...its wierd..the angle and incline has to be just right to produce this odd slipping effect/feeling so its not 100% of the time but something that irritates me when it happens

Diff
Diff locking as previously posted one of your wheels is losing traction due to angle of approach. My driveway is the same (+25 degree incline) and I cannot comfortably approach head on. I get the thump every time.

Totally normal... Happens to me.
It's because a wheel comes off the ground and then catches.

When going on up on an angle one wheel will slip a little because it is coming off the ground.
