Stock non-ZCP E90 Owner: Quick Help?

Can someone please measure the vertical distance between the center of the wheel to the front and rear fenders?

I have the GC coil over kit and I am trying to ensure my car is dropped a specific amount but don't have a starting reference point.

Thank you in avance.

I can tell you my E92 stock, non-zcp: front is exactly 15 inches and rear is 14.25 inches. Not sure if E90 is a whole lot different. Hopefully someone with an E90 will chime in for you.

Just checked on my car (I have 18 in wheels) just a hair under 15 (14 and 7/8) inches in the front and just a hair under 14 (13 and 7/8) inches in the back. Thats from the center of the roundel to the very edge of the fender.

Hope that helps

It should theoretically not matter since the measurement is from the hub center to the fender. I have both 18 and 19 inch wheel.

I am curious if the drop turned out to be as you expected and how much it was...

The drop turned out to be more than sufficient. After the springs settled in, both the front and the rear dropped over 2 inches. I had them re-adjusted to drop the front 1.25" from stock and the rear 1.5" from stock. I noticed that there is more brake dive with than with the lower drop. But I was concerned that at 2", the handling would be sacrificed.

Another thing I noticed is that the hardest EDC setting was too jarring on the road. The middle setting worked best. After raising the car back to 1.25" / 1.5", the stiffest setting feels fine.

Wow, 2" is quite a bit. Just curious, why did you adjust the rear to be 0.25" lower than the front? Especially with the front starting off higher?

Okay. I spoke to Jay@GC and verified that the suggested drop in the front is between 1" and 1.25". The GC setup is design to work with about a 1" drop from stock height in the front. He stated that going down to 1.5" in the front was too much. The rear however is a lot more fudge-able. Since the rear is made to accomodate rear passengers and luggage, the rear drop is not as important and therefore can be done to taste w/o having much affect on handling. In other words, the front drop is key on top of course camber, etc.

My car has a nice visual stance. It does not look like the front is higher than the rear as the numbers would suggest
