KW V3's or clubsports?
hi guy i just wanted to know what u guys think are better for everyday and track days every now and then?
i have been told the clubsports make a clunk sound when u hit bumps because of the top hats? how do the clubsports and v3's ride on the roads for everyday use? in photos it looks like the v3's cant go as low and can not fit as much tyre under? i really want the clubsports but im told there very loud and just want to know what u guys think thanks!!!! |

Read my review of the CS here: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=389198
They're very quiet. I don't know why anyone would claim they were noisy unless they had them set so low that they were running out of travel. Quote:

If you're looking to slam your car than the KW Clubsports are probably what you're going to want. The V3 don't go as low as the CS's do. However, I'm sure you're not going to track your car at a slammed ride height. I think the V3's go low enough for most people.
How many times are you planning on going to the track? If you're only going to go a couple times a year I think the V3 is a good choice. Save some money and buy some other parts and if by chance you think the V3s aren't good enough for you on the track (which I doubt) upgrade the springs to Swift. |

i have clubsports and i love them. but mine are noisy up front as you described, but not overly so. i'm not slammed, either. if i could do it all over again, i'd probably still go with clubsports.

Mine generally make no noise. Occasionally on startup i get some squeaking from one spring and some knocking in one camber plate. Usually goes away quickly. Amazing coil overs. Very comfortable but high performing.

V3 is TÜV approved for 0.4"-1.5" and 0.2"-1.4" F/R. Clubsport is approved for 0.4"-1.5" and 0.2"-1.4". So in terms of lowering they should be similar.
I would recommend the Clubsport because it is a more competent set up. IMO the Clubsport has just enough spring rates to be comfortable on the streets and competitive on the race track. |
