Removing the iDrive Knob(2008) M3

my idrive knob on purchase was a bit marked so just bought a new one

i thought it was gonna be a push on-pull off affair - but it looks like NOT

so how does it come off - had a quick search of the DIY's..............????

its held on by glue, you have to pry it off gently with force ha

Just popped it off - came off REALLY easily............

thought i may break some tabs by looking at the new one so was a bit cautious.............

So was it glued, or it just snaps on and off? Did you just put your fingers under it, and pulled upward? Thx.

I have taken mine off. it didn't seem to have any glue... the first time you take it off is a little tough but basically just reach under and pull up on all sides at the same time.
