Just replaced my 3 month old Audi S4 for a loaded E92 M3 YEA

In March traded my E60 M5 for a 2011 Audi S4. I only lasted 88 days in that stupid Audi. So on Monday I traded it in for a loaded 2011 e90 with DCT M3 could not fix typo in header
I cant explain how different Audi is compared to BMW WOW so happy to be back.
The Audi S 4 drove like a high priced VW passat that had more power. The lack of connection between driver and car cant be explained and it had terrible steering feel it was not good.

I tried to pawn off my AUDI to my wife so I could trade in her paid off 09 328. She did not like the S4 other than the B&O system. Audi blows BMW prem system away its only $850 option compared to the M3 1900 prem.
The first month of ownership with less than 1k miles. The rear seals leaked dif oil all over my garage floor It was fixed under a new TSB and the MMI Nav went out at 2,100 miles. The post on the Audi forum said when its hot the MMI will have problems WTF I live in Texas. Then the back seat started making noise, we could not fix it. The car was easy to drive just not fun.

Smart move, the Audi drives like a bloated pig with terrible steering feel.

And the interior is so dismal with its graveyard styling.

Congrats! I'm curious to your thoughts comparing the M5 and M3 as I am considering selling my 2008 M5 for a new E92 M3... thanks!

In NY you don't pay the tax on the value of the trade in. Don't know if Texas is the same.

I made a mistake in the post I have a new Lemans Blue e90 4 door M3.

M5 Compared to M3 so far:

M5:
M5 is much larger and has more room for 4 adults. Perfect size for a DD
The prem Audi sounded better in the M5
The V10 had so much power from 30 MPH and up I won’t know about the M3 until I get out of break-in
The steering feel on the M5 was muted compared to the M3 comp PK car. The M3 is more aggressive in feel it helps being a smaller more focused car.
The M3 ergonomics for the window & mirror switches are too far out of reach I think it’s a poor design. M5 Better
The M3 trunk will not automatically lift open unless you physically open it by pushing it up. This is a pain if you go grocery shopping or if the car trunk is dirty.
The new hard drive NAV & features are much better on the M3 compared to your 08 M5.
The DCT compared to the SMG: I liked the SMG my passengers hated it. I feel the DCT is so much smoother for ever day use and defiantly much better in D mode than the SMG. I liked how the SMG felt when you shifted under full power it was getting hit in the back. Not sure on the DCT.
M3 last NA motor all cars will be turbo

I think it’s a logical move since the new M5 won’t be released till next year. I am thinking about moving to the M5 in about 18 months unless it crazy $$$$ or drives like a pig.

Why would you switch from an M5 to an S4????? But I absolutely hate the SMG in M5's. When it shifts from 1 to 2 and then to 3rd gears in auto-mode it is so damn clunky and jerky. This is not the case at all with DCT and I'm glad the new generation of M5's will be equipped with DCT. Glad you got the sedan M3 though, it's the best looking in my opinion.

Whew! I had an S4 on order. Pretty amazing that the order time on the Audi is 3 mo compared to about 6 weeks for an M3.

What I did like about the S4 was the tranny. Shifts were more precise and the clutch is stiffer for better feel. Also thought the S4 pulled better from 3-5k RPM. Cancelled my order in the end. Figured I would own it for 6 months and then realize it is just a dressed up A4 with very little special. I had intended to go full STaSIS mods, suspension, exhaust, wheels, etc. I realized I could get a lowered car with nice wheels right from the factory with the M3. Worth pointing out though, that the S4 is about $15k cheaper, not exactly small change. But it needed $10k worth of mods right out of the dealer. Anyway, While I've already added carbon spoiler and splitters, with more stuff on the way, I wanted to avoid aftermarket suspension if possible. Coilovers and springs always have compromises - I've done them on every other car.
Just getting to the end of break in and opening the car up more. Interesting that Sport Plus opens up the exhaust note a bit. I'm going for the M exhaust, but wondering a bit if the stock exhaust makes enough music...

Really? Because the CL63 is one of the coolest cars out there. I haven't driven one yet but I'm sure it's crazy fast.
