Scott, I'd really like to know if the interior quality in the next gen 3 will improve

Scott,

BMW interior quality has really been lacking. Can you please assure me that the next generation M quality will improve? I'm tired of all the creaking, rattling, and mis-aligned fender and hood threads. While I know BMW is out to make money they need to understand that the customer is paying good money for their cars and they expect more. They are getting careless. BMW will be losing a customer of 10 years and counting if things don't change. Please, feel free to chime in.

Thank You.

The body panel misalignment would drive me insane, really happy I didn't run into that. My car only has 2k miles but so far so good.

I had 4 bmws in the past 5 years. None had these issues you speak of.

BMW have improved on interiors. All these new models are stunning on the inside.

Family has had 10 in the past 10 to 11 years and the e9x has been the worst by far. Rattles, and creaks everywhere. Search Misaligned fender and you'll see howm any people complain about how the fender and the hood aren't lined up properly. If the new models interior is a sign of things to come like you say, then we may actually have a bright future.

the interior will def. be better. BMW's putting alot more focus on that area now, look at the x3, shits bumpin. have faith my friend, BMW will deliver at least on the interior. My question are they going to have the balls to keep a sedan form of the next gen m3.

I bought 4 2011s this year. My two e92s and one e90 all have interior rattles from cheapo plastic panels and what not. The only one I haven't heard rattle was the f 535i...but then again I've only driven it 350 miles to date so we shall see but I'm not having any confidence at this point

Lol 4 2011s. It's only July.

Cheapo plastic? Go buy a couple Cadillacs and let us know your thoughts .... I think they use a 5 inch tolerance on the interior. Escalade I just sold was such a piece in terms of quality.

Reliability was great except for completely corroded wheels and all the chrome on the car was rusted and pitted out. Paint was bad and so was the interior. I can't even begin to understand how americanss build such shit quality.

Cadillac is not the benchmark here.. BMW should be compared to Audi & Mercedes.

The all new models seem to have improvements. Even the 2012 1-series, although uninspiring on the outside, has a well designed interior.

Buy another car, please... Have heard nothing but negatives from ya about mine beloved M3.... Try a C63, big torque, nice interior (for you), no rattles?!?!... This car rocks... If you can't see that, move on

Never said anything about YOUR M3. It's a fact that BMW's material of choice isn't the best. People seem to be saying that has changed with the Fxx generation. Hope this carries on in the line-up. The car is amazing, but it's not perfect. P.S. I will be in a 2012 M3 soon yeah. Don't be a fanboi badge whore. I'm not the only one who says BMW is going cheap.

There were no rattles in my 2008 E90 M3 however the quality of this Novillo leather is simply terrible. After just 30 months with the car the steering wheel was already replaced by warranty as the leather looked like it was 10 years old. The driver's seat leather cover bottom was ready to be replaced as well if not that I sold the car before BMW approval for warranty work, but the dealer was ready to replace it as it looked like -again- I was sitting in that sucker for the last 10 years.

I just cannot stand the shine that this leather shows so quick after being new. And that's after using BMW own OEM leather cleaner, Spinneybeck and other conditioners/cleaners regularily.

After 40 months with a 2004 E46 M3 with Nappa leather the interior looked like new when I sold it. Every time that I see a photo of a E9x M3 for sale in the forum classifieds their Novillo leather more often than not looked like crap.

Novillo leather for me is just cheap leather with no place in the M3. Bring back the Nappa, please.

dont be a dick about it. lol you tell him to get in a c63? how insulting ahahahaha the interior in that thing makes me want to commit suicide.

you'll get rattles. thats why theres aftermarket exhausts, i.e Gintani Race, built so you'll never get to enjoy those pesky rattles again

Is this another clown who doesn't own an M3?

I think the quality is very good, all things being considered the only complaint you could have would be the durability, but even then you'd need to put 50k+ on the car to really test that.

Really? I dunno.. maybe I am biased but I find BMW's interiors to be the most driving-focused and least cluttered.

As for the quality.. I have yet to receive my E9x but my E46 was excellent in every way. Had some squeaks from the back seat that were remedied with foam tape but that's it.

Anyway.. I think Audi and Mercedes interiors are hideous and confusing.

The orange peel on the e9x were HORRIBLE.

i have the same opinion as yours. audi/mercedes interiors are way too cluttered and confusing. way too many buttons! i just want to drive, damn it, and not to try to figure which button to press just to turn on the radio.

I keep asking myself why in the world are you ordering a new M3, when all I have seen is you complaining in one thread or another about how the interior sucks, about how the engine lacks bascially everything. I dont know if this is your condescending attempt at trolling but honestly it doesnt seem like you will be happy with what ever the new M3 has to offer. Like some one else suggested just go buy anything else except an M.
