Tracking it tomorrow on a bet!!!

Well, my buddy who is a huge trash talker bet me 100 bucks I can't beat him at the track tomorrow. He drives an 04 CTS-V with intake and exhaust. Should be interesting. To top it off his brother is antagonizing him and pulling a trailer behind his F-250 that says "Cadillac Parking Only" claiming there is a 50% chance his rear dif is a goner. Any recommendations gentlemen?

What kind of track? The 5.7L in the CTS-V is no joke and probably makes good power with minor mods. At a drag strip, I'm guessing the M3 still has the edge with its low weight...assuming you know WTF you're doing. If you axle hop the piss out of it trying to launch don't come crying about how the dealer denies your warranty on a broken diff :-P
On a road course, it's definitely down to the driver but I doubt you'll find one that will let you two monkeys go at it :-)

Thats exactly what I ment, It doest matter what car you drive on the track if its a road track, if you're not experienced, you can be blown off by a Miata !!!
If its just a drag strip, you can use your launch twice before you have any trouble with warranty, but even then, if you dont know how to do it right, he might beat you if he knows what he is doing.

It's a quarter mile track. And I was told they won't deny the warranty for launch control. In any case I have been to the track before just not in the M3. We'll see how it goes. To be honest I think he'll chicken out at about 4 pm tomorrow.

And I know on a road course it makes no difference. I took my STi and got handled by a guy driving an S2000 that was bone stock. The driver was an utter genius. I'm no slouch but he was damn good.
