Anyone suffers from withdrawal if your M has to sit in the garage for too long?

Today will be the first day in two weeks that I will get to drive the M3. A week in New Orleans, and terrible rain in DC area and sneaking to do some hunting, so the M got neglected.

First day today and I'm gonna take her to my kids ice hockey/ figure skating practice (son/daughter- not a single gender confused child), then get some gas, take the kids out to lunch. Then freedom for a few hours. With the kids of course .

So, what you guys do to let your "hair loose" so to speak, after not driving your M for awhile?

Due to an operation, mine has been locked away in my garage for a Month now. One more month to go until I get the go ahead to drive again.

It really is hard to stomach having it sitting there all polished and raring to go. And yes, I do admit to just looking at it every few days. I just can't wait to get back into it.

I was driving a Jeep Patriot this week while my M was being repaired. It reminded me of the distinction between transportation, and fun. I really missed the enjoyment of driving the M.

this past April mine mine was covered up in the Garage for 5 weeks while I was on a project. On the next project I took her along and loved it.

One reason I have a set of winter wheels/tires is that I can take her for a spin when the roads are dry ... hate to leave her in the garage all winter long it is just not right

Sometimes I question why I even bought this thing. UNTIL I DRIVE IT. Which is weekends mostly. I do hate the withdrawal but I get over it thinking I'm gonna have a very low mileage, low maintenance example of a classic someday.

I do! There are certain places I will not park my M. Therefore, I drive my Suburban, which I also love in it's own "Mother ship" way. But when I get back into my M, it's like I just got it all over again!

I was in Toronto / Niagra Falls for business and the first thing I did when I got back home was driving my M3, I missed her so much!!! haha
Everyday if I don't drive my car, it feels like I am missing something. I just HAVE TO find an excuse everyday to drive my car.

I keep it under a car cover in a storage lot close to where I live. When I go get it, removing the car cover is like I'm opening a Christmas gift. Every single time.

My house was getting painted for 2 weeks and I had to store all the bimmers in my warehouse the whole time to avoid overspray. Omg it was death. Coming into my garage and not seeing the M there, felt like a piece of me was missing. Definitely get withdrawals past the one week mark.

I feel the same way, I just usually find myself staring at it in the garage. Its usually not that dirty but I QD the wheels, engine and exhausts then open it up and smell the aroma of the leather. It is truly a treat though when you get back in for the next drive and fire up it up and go out for a spin even if its just to nowhere. I fall even more in love every time
