USB Port not working.....Grrrr.

I have a 2012 and my USB port in the glove wont work with a USB Drive or an Ipod. The one in my armrest works fine w/ both. I'd like to keep my Ipod in the glove and USB Drives in my Armrest.

Anyone have this issue???

It's driving me nuts.

Since 2009 the USB port in the glovebox have been only to load/backup songs in/out the HDD. It will not play any songs from any USB device.

Do you know what format of songs can be imported? Mp3? Wma? AAC?

Search still works...

Data contained on a USB stick (music files in MP3, WMA or AAC format) can be imported via the import/export USB port located in the glove compartment.

I believe that MP3 is the format to use.

There are converter programs to take an iTunes library and convert. Most cost a few bucks though. The free ones usually have adverts and other hooks.

Any recommendations on good ones? I don't mind spending a few $$ if it is straight forward.

just read your manual, it lists all the formats it supports. mp3, aac, wma, wav are supported off the hard drive. My drive is filled with AAC 256Kbps VBR files and they play just fine.
