The ONLY Thing I Hate About My M3..

I love everything about this car, except one thing: The mounting point of the seat belt on the B-pillar. I'm 6' 3", have my seat as far down as it can go, and yet the belt sits too low on my shoulder, rubbing on my shoulder and neck, and makes me really, really uncomfortable. I'm not sure if the regular 3-Series has height adjustable belts, but I can't help but wonder why they're not on the M3; safety perhaps? Anyway, I can't find a single other thing I dislike about the car, and since I have another one on order, clearly I'm willing to deal with it. Just sayin'...

Hmm I'm six two and I don't think I have that problem. I think it's cause I'm ignoring it as I pull from 2nd to 3rd and hear that v8. Just sayin'...

I am not a fan of the auto-dim side mirrors. For some reason, there is a 1/4 inch space around the outside of the mirror that does not dim. Seems kinda stupid to me that the whole mirror doesn't dim. And, of course, that little spot results in getting hit in the eyes with headlights when I check my mirrors before switching lanes.

Man, don't even get me started on this one. I put some black tape (temporarily) because it was so annoying. I'm looking at getting something like tint and adhereing it there. I don't care if that 1/4" becomes useless, I can adjust the mirror to counter, but it's so annoying. I admit, my eyes are on the sensitive side, but seriously, make the whole damn thing tint automatically or just leave it out entirely.

I might try the same. Idk why they didn't dim the whole mirror. I have had these mirrors on cars before and the WHOLE mirror dims. But, the car is awesome, so I will deal.

Take it to a reputable shop and have that edge glass bead blasted. Then that area will be matte and glare is gone.

Yeah, I was thinking of just masking the inside and sanding that portion with a fine grade. I'll figure something out. Tint might be the easiest and reversible.

Is knowing the gas pump on a first name basis
Which or had a bigger gas tank
R8 which has a similar engine has a 24g tank
Ours has 16.5
I barely get 200miles before the fuel reserve light comes on
Oh and when the second fuel light goes on
You are no longer allowed to see the time or temperature
If you press the ok button, you get them for a few seconds
But then it goes back to fuel reserve

BMW's thought is that you'd lose more time and outside if you ran outta gas.

5'10 here and the angle seems low as well.

I don't like the vinyl sun visors that don't telescope, my v6 mustang rental car has cloth covered (headliner material) that telescope.

Same here, 6'3" and no such problem. But then the OP has the coupe while we have the sedan so maybe that's the difference...

I'm 6 foot and now that I am getting older starting to shrink also never had any issues with my seat belt. In fact I think it's the way it meets me half way

BTW ... all this talk about 6'2 ... 6'3 etc reminds me of a joke ...

Pilot of this small plane comes in for a landing ... Plane ID is "Piper 202"

Tower to Pilot: "Piper 202 what is your hight and location?"

Piper 202 to Tower: "I'm 6'2 and am in the cock pit"
