BMW Perfomance Selector Lever
I've just finished installing BMW Perfomance selector lever for auto trans on my 128i.
I could not find picture of it on 1 series interior so I thought it will be worth to post some here. Next mod will be installing stainless steel pedals and M footrest. |

Before you do the pedals, I think an upgrade that has much more impact on the "sportiness" of the interiour is removing the wood and replacing it with something more modern (black, silver, carbon, etc.).
I did this on my E90... Before: After: |

sweet . The performance selector + stainless steel pedals always make a good match for the interior. I am thinking about getting those as well. thanks for the pics!

I have already ordered the pedals so I will have to go ahead and replace pedals.
I wasn't really looking for a more sporty look, the original lever selector just looked a bit cheap. My previous car had aluminum trimming so I don't wood trimming for a change. Carbon fiber trimming is nice but it is a bit pricey. |

I did it on my car, and it looked sweet. I did install it wrong by accident on one piece, and when I removed the door handle it broke . So, I had to order a new door trim piece, and decided to just remove it. I think it was 30 dollars for the vinyl. Very easy to put on, I am just stupid lol

Looks good! I have been debating doing this, but the original selector already has the plastic chrome/silver so I would be paying for roughly the same plus alacantra upgrade...
The E-brake upgrade however looks good with the stainless pedals!

I've finished installing SS pedals and M footrest.
Here are some pictures of them. I do like new gas pedal as it is a bit smoother than the original and of higher quality. I've included pictures of both gas pedals showing design differences. |

Thanks for posting these pictures, looks great!
It's interesting that the assembly actually differs from the original beyond mere appearance. |

It took me about 35-40 minutes to get the brake pedal pad installed correctly.
The first try took me aboutg 3 minutes but the stainless steel rim on one side popped out of the rubber pad. I had to removed it to pop the trim back since I needed to push rubber from behind and could not do it when it is mounted. So the challenge for me was to keep SS trim from popping out while trying to slip over pedal pad. The front of the pad and the trim is curved so one must avoid pushing the front side of the rubber pad when trying to slip it over brake pedal plate or else SS trim will come loose. |

I picked up the performance gear lever and also the performance hand brake. I have to say I'm a little disappointed in the quality of the materials. The leather on the gear lever boot seems cheap, thin and there is no grain pattern on it, not as good as the stock leather boot. The alcantara on the hand brake was not what I was expecting based on the picture of it on the BMW website. On the website it appears that the top half the boot is alcantara and the bottom portion is still leather, but mine is all alcantara, and it looks cheap. I'll get them on and take some pic's and get them up...
