E90 Brake life?

I started looking into E90's and found a really nice 2011 Comp Package sedan with just under 20k. The only thing is the car is already on it's third set of rotors/pads. That seems pretty excessive even for a car that most likely saw track time. What kind of mileage do you guys who occasionally do track days see?

My wife drives an E90 M3 with the competition package. We've put 15K easy miles on the car and I have a tough time believing that the car you're talking about wasn't abused...

Ciao,

Jeff

On the track, race pads will last between 600 to 1500 miles ( 5 to 10 track days). Stock pads could only last a couple of days if you push them hard (maybe only 200miles), but they would be fading the whole time....

Pads ( $200 - 350 a pair) and rotors ($ 600 for front set) are easy to replace as wear items.

31k here, still on the original pads, street driving only. That car was tracked, not that there's anything wrong with that.
