Smile Dinan lower control arm monoballs and strut tower brace

Very, very pleased with these added to Dinan stage 3 suspension: Car feels much tighter-steering is firmer, requires more effort (much bigger change than putting steering in sport mode), steering is more tactile and linear. I feel much more of the surface detail of roads but amazingly the ride is much more to my taste- suspension seems to react and FINISH reacting to bumps more quickly making the car feel like its" carved from one piece" and while you feel more thru the wheel the tires and car seem to be deflected less by road imperfections and stay on course more precisely. Based on my memory of driving a 911 I would say this pushes the e90 ~60% of the way towards 911 steering feel and precision (meaning not 60% as good but jumping 60% of the normal gap between the two)- and without the lack of weight feeling of the 911- I gotta say this is closer than i thought this car could ever get!

Interesting.... Are these impressions street or track? Always looking for a way to improve steering feel, nice review.

I can't evaluate Dinan's profit margin but on an improvement for the money basis $5,000 would be break even IMO. This feels like a much more solid, better built and more fun to drive car-how much is it worth to make a $68K car A LOT better? I think way more than $899.

Thanks for the review. I noticed the difference immediately going from the stock 335i lower control arms to the M3 ones. I am having trouble seeing spending so much though on upgrading them further but you have me thinking. Got some other things I want to do first.

Yes you're right. I mistakingly got the price for the E39

Right now I also have the M3 control arms. I may add these on the "to do list". It never ends...
