2010 E90 Pricing

Hey guys....been following this forum for months and am about to pull the trigger on a 2010 White E90 M3. Wanted to get everyones opinion on the price

Details:
41,500 Miles
Clean Carfax
Fox Red Interior
6spd Manual
Premium Package
Tech Package
19" double spoke rims

asking price is 45,800

is this a good deal? I know the mileage is a bit high for a 2010, but the car is in excellent condition and still has a year of warranty left.

Thoughts?

For a 2010, that's actually a really good price! Check out the Used M3 pricing thread for comparison.

Good price, but that's a LOT of miles for a 2010.

Lots of miles is good. I'd rather have a car that is well driven as opposed to a garage queen with little miles.

Who said the miles were well-driven?

You can't dispute the fact that mechanical parts wear out with more miles. Bushings, shocks, etc.

Find out what sticker was new and use KBB.com to find out if it's a good deal now. When I was looking, prices varies due to options as you can have almost $20k in options. Good Luck

Good advice here. There's quite a few options that may be missing based on the brief description. Otherwise, unless you can find evidence of this car being abused I wouldn't worry about the miles. I would find out if the car is eligible for BMW CPO program though as this would tell you a lot about what BMW thinks about the condition of the car.

Would it be asking too much if I request the dealer to change all the fluids (transmission rear diff brake etc) prior to purchase.

Go ahead and ask. The worst thing they can say is no.

remember, it has 8500 miles till the end of its warranty. probably you will do that quicker than a year. 50k/4yrs which ever is sooner.

i have a 2010 E92 that i picked up on nov 09, ~30k miles. and i was out of country for about 5-6 months. so, its not that many miles. but i would get it checked out. just before hitting 30k my dashboard started lighting up.

Just for comparison, I found a 2010 E90 M3 a couple months ago with 14k miles for $49,900. Silverstone, no sunroof, tech pkg, premium pkg, extended silver norvillo leather. Bought it from Enthusiast Auto in OH and had her shipped out to the East Coast.

Dealer said they will cover half of the cost to replace the fluids. 700 for the rear diff and tranny, 1100 for all fluids.....

I figure since the car has been sitting on the lot for a while it'll be worth it to change everything out

that price is too high comparatively with the amount of miles. I would skip or try to bring the price down to the low 40s.
Aside from the updated Navigation, this car is no different than a recently out of warranty 2008 model and those are going in the high 30k range now. As others have said, your car is perilously close to warranty expiration.

Those guys jack up the prices like crazy! Have you seen how much they're asking for some of those cars?

KBB and Edmunds true value both come out to around 43-45k. Highly doubt they will go down to 41k

dealer-only auction prices for comparables are likely clearing around less than $43k as IFX has stated...some may have cleared at $41. Throw in $500 - $1000 for profits, makes $42k - $43k reasonable. I would still skip and buy a 08 with same miles in the high $30ks
