Upgrading sound system

Just bought an 08 135i w/ the premium sound package and it sounds great(sounds way better than the stock system on an e46). I wanted to know if any one installed any subwoofers in there 1 series with the idrive. I have the idrive with navigation and Bluetooth in the dash so I dont see how I'd be able to hook up a sub. I plan to keep the speakers I have, just want to add a jl audio w7 in the trunk. Thanks

Have the same car except a 2009, same options. Just had a JL W3 and all speakers and amp replaced with Hertz, Morel, and JL. Was kind of a pain because the installer had never worked on a 135 before, but after running into a bunch of glitches we got it right. If you want any ideas or have any questions let me know, I'd be happy to help

I went with

Front: Focal 100VRS
Rear: Focal PC100
Subs: Earthquake SWS-8
Amp: JL XD700/5
EQ: AudioControl EQS

Sounds amazing. Tons of bass even though they are 8" subs under the seats. The sub spacers are a MUST.

I don't have idrive but I do have the premium sound i7. I installed my aftermarket amp going off this and works good. I would guess that it would work the same but I could be wrong. Hopefully this helps out.
