Sirius went crazy today
Today while I was driving on the Interstate, my Sirius stopped receiving a signal. The first thing I did was look to make sure there were no obstructions, which there weren't. It would come back on for a second and then go out again. I tried switching channels to no avail. I also noticed that when Sirius went out the place where I usually see the channel number on the iDrive was also blank. When the signal went out "Acquiring" also did not show on the iDrive screen. After I shut the car off for about an hour and a half, everything reverted to normal.
Anyone have any thoughts.

I was wondering the same thing... my sirius was cutting in and out early this morning on the way to work (in my truck). Must be something to do with sirius and not the vehicles equipment...

Hi: I had the same problem Tuesday night, only one channel could be accessed, bubble gum music. It was also pouring rain. It's fine now.

Tonight mine just said "acquiring" and didn't work at all. I hope it's ok when I start the car tomorrow.

I also had problems with Sirius last night. Some channels sounded like the songs were skipping, while others were fine. We also had a lot of heavy thunderstorms in the Atlanta area, so I figured it was that.

Had the same problem yesterday in the Chicago area. We had some heavy rains. Some channels just skipped a beat, and others were fine, as well as a few long acquiring.

I had the same thing yesterday afternoon in Vancouver. Must be solar flares. Or perhaps the Martians upset at the rover we sent there are zapping Earth with M-Rays.....
They were probably hoping it was going to be a 1-Series... Last edited by Lester; 08-10-2012 at 10:22 AM.. |
