an '08 with limited options, high mileage, and needs new tires or brakes maybe.
or a combo of the above plus a salvaged title.

Salvage title E92 M3.

You can get into a nice E46 M3 or E86 M. I would look at those before an E92 M3.

Well people are going to have different meanings for "decent" personally i would think a e92 M3 going for 27k will NOT be decent at all. I wouldn't even want to own a M3 at that price. Wouldn't even feel right.

But like most cars. the price should drop in time.

If you can only afford to buy the cheapest M3 available then you probably can't afford the maintenance, repairs, insurance, and gas bills. If you can't afford it then expensive car owns you, instead of you owning expensive car.

Give it a year or two. Prices will come down, and you, hopefully, will be in a better place to make the purchase.

Just a matter of time and closer to winter season. Dealer trade in value is as low 32 k. Give it a year or so.

I suspect that you can get a very nice e46 M3 for that price or less.

I'm sure you can get one for 27k..but i definitely don't think it would be the one you want (salvage title, a million miles, etc)

Its hard to imagine that this car will be under $30k in a yr or two. I still think most people will be priced out because of gas and maintenance though.

My old 08 E93 flood totalled car sold on Ebay for $27k, then was resold for a few thousand more. Had 37k miles, dct, nav, enhanced audio and good service history.

Buyer bought in Philly and drove to Louisiana with no issues. Was a freshwater flood.
