Bike Rack for e93?

I tried searching the forums for a good trunk mounted bike rack, but nothing much came up (at least recently). I won't use it often, so I'd rather not get a hitch mount installed.

I've seen these 2 and thought they may work...

This one I found on e90post, but didn't know if anyone ever used it on a e93...

I don't know if I would use a mount like that on an e93 since our trunks open backward when folding the hardtop. It seems like the weight of the bike, rack, and wind resistance would be pulling on the mechanisms/motors/latch etc. that are responsible for securing & opening the trunk when putting the top down.

I would not do it either.
Here is a link with a good solution IMHO

Hmmm. I hadn't thought about the weight of the rack/bikes with the way the top opens. I guess I'll have to rethink this...

I wouldn't worry about the rear opening trunk, the rack, air resistance and bikes isn't going to amount to much if any pressure. Or said another way, if it did you have other issues to worry about. I used a Yakima King Joe on my M3 vert and it worked well, no issues.

Did it scratch the trunk at all? Did you have the 2 or 3 bike carrier?

Seasucker

I have heard great things about these racks. I am getting one for my e93.

Have the two bike version. Some very minor marring on jet black, just remember to mount the rack on a clean surface and you'll be good.
