BMW Performance V1 Electronic wheel issue
Had an odd issue recently where my shift lights no longer light up. Checked the brightness settings and it wasn't turned off.
The issue started initially when I got my car back from a shop for deer damage. The wheel had been turned off(odd), but when I turned it back everything appeared to working as normal. It wasn't until a couple of days later that I noticed the shift lights were out. I could take it back to the shop, but I doubt that would get me anywhere as they don't know anything about such things. I reviewed the manual, reset the wheel, tried it at various RPMs, and still no luck. Any thoughts?

A few of our customers experienced the same issue. We replaced the control module and everything works now. I'll post up the P# as soon as I find it for ya.

Just to confirm, that is for the V1 wheel correct?

This is one of those few issues where I have no idea how to go about solving it. I doubt BMW will be any help at all if I contact them.

The BMW install document clearly says no coding required.

BMW V1 parts have been discontinued for over a year now so if it's a module issue, you won't have many options.

Yeah, I'm aware. Makes this all the more annoying.
