M4 garage queen. Any thoughts?

Has anybody thought about buying a M4 and keeping it stored in the garage. Since being first M4 ever made keeping it covered for 10-20yrs and driving it for a 2-3k miles a year but still keeping it pristine. Will it become something very valuable in the long run??

Anybody out there with the same idea as me?

No, I can't see M4 becoming anything very valuable.

No it's nothing special, to many of them made, if you would have said something that has limited numbers like a GT40 or GT3 4.0 then yes

No, it's merely a nomenclature change on a mass produced vehicle. It's nothing special.

No, this is a dumb idea. It's one number in the name of the car that means nothing.

I hardly think the E9X S65 M3 will become valuable and if that one doesn't this one never will, so no. It's just a car. Drive it and enjoy it

High production number BMW collectible? Not a chance. Lease a M4, go buy S&P fund, bonds, 993, BMW E9, any early 911, E30 M3, vintage Rolex/Patek or 1960-70's motorcycles instead.

No. Just, no. There couldn't be anything more mass market than a BMW. With the economy where it is, they will probably sell 100,000 of them.

A car in 20 years won't resemble anything like they are today.

Go watch the Barrett-Jackson auto auctions and note what cars collectors are paying big money for. Most of them are one offs, limited editions, owned by famous people or have a storied history. The big money cars are usually convertibles so everyone can see them whilst they are parading around in their 20+ year old relic from the past.

Hell no! Mine will be a daily driver just like my E90 M3 was. I ain't rich enough to buy cars and hope 30 (20years? Dream on my man) to 50 it will appreciate. You're better off investing in the stock market.

I know some lower income people who try to buy crap and hope it will be a collector's item years later. Now they live in a house full of worthless crap. Unless you are rich like Jay Leno, hording shit is poor people mentality. You don't have the room or the ability to maintain and keep it pristine like Jay does.

No way, but If you store it and watch it depreciate over time, I'm sure one of the guys on this forum would love to take it off your hands in 5 years for a steeply discounted price.

If you wanted one as an investment, you'd better off waiting towrads the end of the model line for a special version, maybe if they do a CSL/GTS type car. Or even the compeitition package.

In 20-30 years, I could see you making a return on it, although if the only purpose is as an investment, there are much better options.

If you want a fun car for weekends and track days, go for it.
