Hood Vent Grills - OEM Part number?

Group,

The previous owner of my e92 M3 got wax in the hood vent grill and I can't stand the baked in white finish. I just want to replace the actual grills in the hood vents, but cannot seem to find the part number anywhere. The hood vent surrounds come up in all of my seaches, but not the grills. Searched Google, Pelican Parts, and several others. Does anyone know?

I have tried to clean them and have made an improvement, but I figured they are probably pretty inexpensive to replace rather than killing myself trying to clean the old wax off.

Thanks,
Jim

This might be a smarter way to get the desired effect.

I did this to the front grill on my e46 due to how painful the removal process was.

Spray the grill with black plasti dip and you're as good as new. But I would think a good bug and tar remover would take of the old wax.

What color is your car? I have these I took off mine, in black, I can sell you for $45 shipped. My car was Interlagos Blue. I thought the vents looked a bit more pronounced and aggressive in black.

Well I just spent about 18 hours doing a full 3 step paint correction on my Jerez Black M3 a few weeks ago. Lots of satisfaction in that as it came out incredible. I just figured for $40 why not just buy a new part and be done with it.

I did "try" already with a few different products I had on hand, but wasn't satisfied with it. Looks like it has been cooked on for a couple of years at this point.

Like others have said; I took both of mine out in about 5 minutes, then spent a grand total of $8 applying a coat of black Plastidip, and a coat of Glossifier on them.
Looks brand new, and is completely reversible if I ever want to go back to white.

I'm talking about the honeycomb part, not the surrounding part.

Fair enough. I have track car now and scratches and such are everywhere dont even care about that stuff anymore.

My post applies to both the mesh and the plastic surrounding piece (?)
I did them both at the same time.
