Question HAVE YOU SEEN THIS E46? Phoenix Yellow

Hi Guys,

Apologies for posting on this forum...want to spread the net wide...

Have come accross this car:

http://www.westsidehummer.com/vehicles/2005-bmw-m3--15

Looks very clean - love the colour etc...called the dealership...the sales guy sounded a bit off...so now Im a bit hesitant to drive down to Houston from Dallas, to see the car.

Also - 15k miles for a 9yr old! Too good to be true? Carfax etc, and the car seems super clean...but???

What do you guys think about the price?

Cheers!

looks good, price is a little high IMHO for 05 but if it's clean they are commanding top $$$.

Price is definitely high. Love the color...and if the 15k miles is real....that's real low.

What do you guys think should be a fair price? 20-25k?

Actually... unless there are any untold issues/collisions this is a decent price even with SMG. Low mileage clean cars with great maintenance histories...one owner....clean carfax... in desirable color combos like this can easily bring $30K. I would take a drive down to check it out. If you like what you see get a PPI and then decide. I'm sure some Houston folks can chime in about what indy in Houston you should go to for the PPI.

I have been looking for a daily e46 m3, but that price is actually really good if only 15k miles. I live in Houston too, but definitely out of my budget. I'm 15 minutes away. If there's something you want me to do, let me know.

Nice car looks just like my e46! Looks like it is in fantastic condition. Make sure you try a few SMG cars out first though so you know what you're getting into if you haven't yet, a lot of people dislike the SMG and have problems with it over time.

While I'm here ....
Anyone know of a Phoenix Yellow + Competition Package, including SMG?

Love my 2005 IB ZHP, but I really miss the Phoenix Yellow that I used to have.

I bought my 2003 in 2009 with 11k miles for 29k. Was a flawless car. I sold it in 2012 for 29.5k with 34k miles

It is priced right. You cannot go by bluebook as it is extremely hard to find a clean/low mile E46 M3. I would be wary of the SMG, that's all.

I'm pretty sure I called these guys about 9 months ago for the exact same car, but the salesman told me they sold it a while ago.

I'm going to my mechanic tomorrow, and I see that his place is about a block away from the dealer. I could check the car out for you if they still have it. His shop is named M-Power Houston (of course they work on BMW's); you could get a PPI from them, $160 IIRC.

One of the guys at our office has this car but a 2002 with 90k on it. He paid 12 for it.

That one looks exceptionally good. I'm always up for paying a premium for a well cared for car. The E46 M3s seem to always go above blue book value from what I've seen. Nice thing about that one is that it has the newer control units, so you can get the competition package traction control on it which is equivalent to euro MDM. I love my E46, different than the E9x, not as luxurious or fast but much more nimble.

Im going to assume you do not know how good of a deal that is. i give it one week and that car will be gone. i would have perfered stock wheels. from the front badge im sure someone on m3forum owned that car.

They also have a 2004 Dakar yellow http://www.westsidehummer.com/vehicles/2004-bmw-m3--11

It looks good too. I think it's more over priced than the other though.

I'm pretty sure that's Phoenix yellow. This is Dakar yellow.

Comparison between Phoenix and Dakar

OP. Please respond ASAP if you want me to check those cars out. You have about 6 hours to do so.
