Love the design of the 18's. I wish BMW offered that design in both silver and black, but in 19's.

I'm starting to think the same thing.. I feel it's a color I will regret not getting if I don't pull the trigger as it looks better and better in the wild.. I hadn't considered the 18's but I'm thinking they might be fine and If I want black I can just paint them!

Nice, and even though the wheels are only 18" the car just looks so much better with silver wheels. Agree that YMB looks good more times than it doesn't.

Again here, me think those are the 641Ms
For me the twin spokes of the base summer 18"s are more widely spaced than on the 641M. I just don't want you guys to be disappointed with the 18" I guess I'll owe you 2 e-beers if I'm wrong Last edited by CanAutM3; 02-22-2014 at 05:23 PM.. |

I'm going with the 18s for sure. I'd prefer the wider spaced version but would be ok with those in the photos. Can't stand all black rims.

On the other hand, I believe there is confusion on which winter wheel is the 18" and which is the 19" (640M vs 641M). According to this thread, the the 641M is the 19" and the 640M is the 18". However, the video in this thread clearly shows the white M4 with 640M style wheels equipped with CCB (gold callipers). So IMO, the 640M style wheel (thin and tight double spokes) must be the 19" and therefore the 641M wheel (thicker and more widely spaced double spokes) is the 18" one. Or unless, in the other thread, the images of which wheel is the 641M and which is the 640M are inverted . So, I still believe that the car in the OP is shod with winter wheels (whatever they are called 641M or 640M) and NOT with the base OEM summer wheels, albeit in 18" size and not in 19" size. The title of the thread is therefore correct: YMB F82 M4 in the wild with production 18" winter wheels I am working hard for those e-beers Last edited by CanAutM3; 02-22-2014 at 08:32 PM.. |

actually it looks like that in person. changes color all the time depending on where you view it from. i think the auto show lights are too harsh and don't represent it well on a daily basis. this color works perfect in germany where its normally overcast. haha
